I just wondered do any of you like go dizzy for a split second? Its like your heads in a lift and everything goes woosh then your ok. It happens about 3 times a week lately. Is it anything to worry about?

Yeah, i think i know what you mean, my eyes just splash out and go all fuzzy for a second or two... but my eyes are prefectly fine

it happenns a lot of times when im sitting down and suddenly stand up. I usually jump 5 times after I stand up if i notice to get the light headedness

Reply 5

Yeah I get that usually from getting up to quickly or doing to much work.
Sometimes also if I'm tired. Probably just your body letting you know something or other.

Is there a disease related to this kind of experience???

Reply 7

go to the doctor if your really worried.

Reply 8

ye could be your tiredness, your diet and etc. I think low blood pressure causes it..although Im no medic so dont take my word for it. go to the docs and put your mind at rest..or just phone him/her or a helpline of some kind. happy dizzy days!

i get dizzy everytime i stand up. went to doctors and he just told me drink lots of water

Reply 11

Yeh, that happens to me because I dont drink enough. The other day I got out of bed and I collapsed sideways into my cd rack and my boyfriend had to push me backwards onto the bed so I didnt cause too much damage  Its not a nice feling.

more a condition than disease - hypotension.
but what most of you describe is utterly normal.

Reply 13

aneamia and ear-infections also cause dizziness, but more extreme than you're describing.

And then there's alcohol

i get dizzy a lot too. Before it used to happen at least 3 or 4 times a day and i got really worried! But my mom just said it was normal! weird! You just have to wait for it to pass really and make sure you're eating properly! I hope there's a cure for it...somewhere!

On the other hand it could be caused by stress as in my case I had/have "Migraine Variance" which I am still recovering from, but it could also be an early warning of a brain tumour and as such you really should go in to your GP at least to talk about it. You may be asked to have a scan taken, etc to be on the safe side if this has been going on a bit as if it is in fact a tumour, then catching it early is of course the key.
