# AQA Core 4 - Jan 19th 2010 watch

1. High or low grade boundaries? What does everyone reckon?
2. what they normally are they never change
3. (Original post by maxfire)
ey went to ey(dy/dx)

I got -1 for the implicit question.
Yeah thats what i thought, in the exam i wrote ye^y lol (only god knows why) lol. I think the boundaries will be standard, i don' think there will be much deviation. I hope that the boundaries are lower though for this and especially core 3 last week

I know that they do change the boundaries because we done an M2 mock the other week and in the real one it was only 53 for an A, so the boundaries can change.

Yeah they do. The grade boundaries change for your mark out of 75, but then they are standardised and given a UMS score out of 100.

Do you have M2 tomorrow afternoon? What paper was that, by the way? I might take a look over it.
6. Hey, yeah I agree with everyone about the dy/dx=-1. I loved that paper, it's 'coz i'm on a gap year and had all of winter to prepare :P You know the binomial, did anyone get a fraction which has surds in it at the beginning but it worked out as an integer, which you then multiplied by the expansion? OOh for the vector one where it asked to find D, did you just have to quote D=OA+AD and then work it out? Thats what I did. I've got advice for those people doing alevels this year, work really hard and get the best grades you can because I missed my LSE offer by 1 ums and am seriously ticked off, but I'm trying again this year Hopefully AAB Good luck for the other exams!
