By European standards it's virtually impossible to call him left-wing. Calling him Socialist is downright wrong.

The OP wins the prize for one of the most paranoid posts I've ever read. Guilt by association is really a nasty little bugger.

I can honestly say that I felt safer when President Bush was in office.
    Why?

What is it about Bush that brought you to feel 'safer'?

What is it *specifically* about communism which scares you?

No, it absolutely not does not. Well, not unless you have a very primitive grasp on such matters.

Mainstream politics in the U.S is so far pushed to the right, that actually trying to pass some centre, centre-left policies is seen as communism. Can you name some policies that he is trying to pass that would be seen as socialist/communist? I'm sure you'll find similar policies already enacted in western europe, and we aren't 'commies'

lol thank you... I was actually asking that not to ascertain his views on Obama etc. But to find out what he thinks would happen within actual communism. And why he thinks it would be so bad.

Ie, if he cited dictatorial rule, then that is easily done away with by explaining how Soviet Russia and China are infact state capitalism. If he said that it has never worked, then I can post the list of all the anarcha-communist societies. If he thinks his ipod will come under common ownership, then this can be easily explained through teh difference between possession and property. If he thinks it would impoverish the country, then this can be argued through looking at where the USSR started from by contrast to countries such as Brazil, South American countries, and the USA. etc...

I actually find Obama (currently) to be somewhat right-wing. *shrug*.

Hahahh and even if he was (which no way he is), you think the US would allow anything even "related" to communism be implemented? Its completely against all of their interests.

And personally I really dont see how Bush can be missed, Obama is just fixing all the problems he left behind.

The evidence is utterly damning. Obama is a Black National Socialist.
    How so?

    No it doesn't.

Left- and right-wing are terms applicable to where a party stands on the political scale compared to other parties in the same country/region/assembly.

    Socialism is a political concept.

    ...babe.

What is it your problem if he is a socialist? I think the world needs more. His health idea is great, btw.

    And?

A socialist/communist would've attempted to nationalise the health service, no? Why did mention the american dream in his inauguration then (amongst other things)?

To our standards, he'd be a conservative, actually. Any socialist that has his politics, isn't a socialist.

What makes socialism worst than republicanism/capitalism? Not that America is in any way a socialist country and it isn't even heading that way.

You laugh at the truth? I ask, can you see the Conservative party privatising the NHS?

Once again, you're ignoring my arguments for your rhetoric.
