Having a hard time getting into revision mode

I have got a few re-sits coming up in Jan and i'm having a hard time getting into revision mode. Has anyone else got re-sits in Jan? I don't mean to sound ungrateful but I wish the exam boards would set the winter exams in Feb or something. Why do they have to set them right after Chrimbo and New Year? You don't feel like revising and stuff over Chrimbo you feel like relaxing and having a good time but it is difficult to do this with exams looming over you. And I'm finding it difficult to motivate myself to get into into revision moDE GRRRRRRRR. I have been out Chrimbo shopping for gidts all evening so that is another day wasted today that I was planning on using to revise. Usually I crack down and automatically get into revision mode easily but not now GRRRRRRR :frown:  Hate it

What with being a near insomniac and all, I revise at ungodly hours, giving me time to do things during the day.

That's probably not particularly healthy advice though.

i would imagine the main reason AS resits (and A2 modules, too, I'm taking as many as possible in January) are held in January is that revision time for them are a continuation of christmas holidays.

Break up 19 Dec, come back 5 Jan then study leave 8 Jan till February is far more effective for revision in my opinion than

Break up 19 Dec, come back 5 Jan then a months of normal lessons then have a month off for exams

I agree with you, since I became a member this forum has been taking up a lot of my time. I dont think that banning would help though as there are thousands of other forums you could go to. Maybe you should ask your parents or someone else who uses the computer to put a password on until the exams are over, only letting you on to check your mail and stuff. Thats what I think I might do.

All i've found is that I need perhaps an hour or two every two or three days and that that should be enough revision for me personally. Even with the forum, it's not too difficult
i hav a rlly weird habit of not being able to revise on the weekend but as soon as weekday comes im automatically in revision. but i still dont trust myself, so im gonna down to the library to revise all the time even on weekdays to make me feel like im in college. too many distractions at home

got 8 exams in jan, havent started revising yet (as and a2) OMG U GET STUDY LEAVE? LUCKY!!!!!! ALL WE GET IS 24HRS BEFORE THE EXAM! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I'm refusing to go into school on protest (our year is the 1st not to have study leave) and worse off, in the lessons they are teaching us new stuf for the summer exams, AS IF i'm conc. on the jan ones first! they are even giving us as chem mock first day bad (day b4 my 1st exam) which they said we HAVE to be in for! NO CHANCE!
I have mock GCSEs. First up is Art. I need to do my prep.
