That advice has never ever helped me in any social sitaution.

OP, what is your secret, if "being yourself" isn't the one?
im a quiet dude in general, but with girls i try to be as loud as i can

It helped me though. I can still be comfortable socially and don't have to act stupid to please no one and overall the result is better cause I get to talk to my sort of people and don't attract unnecessary unwelcomed attention.

Being yourself is pretty much the most important thing...If you're being fake loud, she can probably tell.

But if you're concentrating purely on being yourself it's not gonna end up well too

This. I have seen many examples and it sure isn't attractive, so "be yourselves"

So have you ever actually got with a 9/10 girl? Doudt it.

But, you should be the best bits of yourself and not pretend to be someone else.

    :headfire:

If being myself means, shy, quiet, boring, ect; then how does that help?
I find this has its charm. Tbh I would prefer someone quieter than someone who is overly confident, or tries to be to impress me but instead is pushing me further away

I don't think that being too shy is very attractive either, but I believe that everyone should be given a chance and if a girl can not act like a friend (in the first place) and understand you, let you open up in front of her, then imo that is not very nice

P.S. I like the smiley. Made me laugh out loud
