Foreign Office Job? watch

    • Thread Starter

How would I go about say, working at the British embassy in another country?

Also, on a side note, does anybody know the name of the job, where people analyse the military capabilities of other countries and create strategies of how to react to certain "foreign policy" issues? Is there such a thing?

If you want to work in the Foreign Office in London or as a UK diplomat overseas then look at http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/about-us/working-for-us/

Many other UK government departments also base some of their staff in UK embassies abroad including UKTI, UKBA, DWP, Defra, MOD, DFID etc..

Otherwise, the FCO in London does not recruit to specific overseas posts but there are lots of other "local staff" employed in Embassies abroad and who are recruited directly by the embassies concerned
