Although I exceed the grades, I'd only want to go to Imperial to study physics if I was actually dedicated to it and was willing to put in the hard work at the level that imperial is at. I don't actually like physics though, it's just my strongest subject and it's a versatile course so I picked it...so I've chosen UCL and KCL
Isn't theoretical physics the hardest physics-related subject though? Or am I wrong?

Reggie the Lion is a much better mascot than UCL's tatty rag doll. I've seen Reggie proudly displayed on the staircase at the Strand's Entrance Hall.

The rivalry is mainly saved for the sports field now; there's no longer kidnappings, riots, police intervention and arson. Not until I get there anyway...

I love that there's a history between UCL and KCL. Wikipedia have pretty much got it all covered in this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King's_College_London_and_UCL_ri valry#The_RAGs

I reckon UCL students might be slightly jealous of King's recently though. We've acquired the Maughan Library (the old Public Records Office) and have recently got the rights to move into one of the Wings of Somerset House.

UCL have the quad. Neat one. What a way to reignite the old rivalry - a bit of banter about who has the best architecture!
My thoughts exactly! To the very last word

And I'm also starting in September! Shall we show those UCL losers what it's all about? :-P Let's hang Bentham off a flagpole on the Somerset house

Btw, Reggie is also kept in a secure vault now The one by the entrance of the Strand is a copy made in 1999

Yeah some find it harder, but for some reason I find it easier...it's more mathematical and less wordy/practical stuff so it suits me better :yep:

Theoretical physics is more mathematical, so it depends where your skills lie really. If you'd rather be doing maths than in a lab, you'll prefer theoretical physics, if not, you'll be better off with standard physics.

I'd apply to Imperial, UCL, LSE, and KCL. I really don't give a damn about their rivalry. I just want my education!
Wow, I've applied to the same universities. What course you doing?

Sorry, CYO is the common year one at King's for biomedical science, biochemistry, pharmacology, human sciences, neuroscience, physiology and genetics students. We all study the same modules for the first year *You'd think that with so many people in the year group socialising would be a doddle, but it's quite the opposite!*
It would probably have been easier for me to simply ask you where you study lol!
yeps, so if you all do the same modules whys it sucha small class?

That is the stupidest analogy ever.
If anything, KCL's mascot is a lion- like chelsea's! So we are being picked on my losers Man U and Liverpool for being better than them

(p.s. Yes, I am a Chelsea supporter and even live there XD)
    ur rich?

    Real one lol
The real one is kept in a vault now and they use a fake one in the showcased model sitting in the museum :p:
Man that's awful. Bentham's like my idol :p:

I'm applying in September but I will apply to those uni's because they're the best!
Sorry if my post was misleading- you must've thought I'd apply already:p: and I want to study Finance and Accountant at LSE. What about you?

I'm also doing A2 Maths, Chemistry and Business & Economics for A-levels.

indeed somerset house is very impressive indeed and supposedly kings is the best out of the elite for socialising... tho it hasnt been the case for me yet
Somerset house is an awesome place - I did some work experience there some time ago. Try and find the catacombs around all the bunkers and graves underneath, great fun :-)

King's is elite, but UCL is super elite
UCL maybe super elite but I know a girl who sat through 4 years at a sixth form college and had no work experience related and still manage to get into UCL to study Chemical Engineering- So yes, basically she is dumb and I was 3 years younger than her but she was in my C1 Maths exam!

I would say UCL is easier to get into providing you achieve the grades than any other top 5 uni's. Just IMO:eek:

We have our lectures at the same time with everyone, but our tutorials in small groups, & cos there are only a few human scientists, we're generally in the same little group.

Below the river side/front is where I was shown - expect to find a lot of locked and hidden doors if you go looking. Basically there are all the bunkers and safe rooms built in the second world war, along with all the underground stuff that was their before the Thames was embanked and water ran under the three arches. Like all these old buildings in London, there's lots of stuff around if you go exploring.

    It's a funny old place.
