New candidate number for External A2 resits???? watch

    Is it correct to have a new candidate number if taking resits as an external candidate at the original centre/school?

    Yeah, I think that's normal - but, check that they've got the same UCI (unique candidate identifier) as your previous centre. If this is different, then there might be problems grouping your unit results together, etc.

    Yes. Thank you so much. they're the same on all previous statements of entry. So it's only the shorter candidate number number that needs to be entered on the paper right? Also, there are 2 exam boards. The last 4 didgits are the same for each but one exam board has an extra number in front do you know why this is?

    Yeah, you'll only need to put down your candidate number on paper, not the UCI. You'll also need to write the centre number which will be different this time (as you're sitting it at an external centre).

    The last 4 digits of what are the same? If you mean candidate number, then that's probably just by coincidence! Different exam boards will generally use different centre and candidate numbers.
