Frostbite/'frostnip' and healing watch

I was wondering if anyone with experience of frostbite could advise me...

I managed to get about 3 little white patches on my toes, at most 0.5cm diameter, from getting my feet too cold a week or two ago. My feet tend to get cold quite easily in general, so I didn't look that closely and only noticed the marks a few days later.

I got my feet back to a sensible temperature once I was inside, and the wee patches didn't really hurt. Two of them seem to have healed ok, and there are tiny darker patches where they were. However, the third one has left a darker patch, and the skin there is less sensitive, and feels thicker and slightly different to the rest of the surrounding skin - kind of rubbery?! :o:

I have quite pale skin with moles and stuff, the colour of the damaged patch on my toe is slightly lighter than my lightest moles. If it would be relevant, I'll take a picture :p:

Anyway, I want to know if you think it's healing properly, or if I should make an apointment with my GP, or go to A&E to have a rotting toe removed  I did try to find info on the NHS 24 site, but all it really did was tell me that cold causes frostbite >_> I've not really got any way of asessing how bad the tissue damage is, or if it's healing well.

Right, see attached. It's fuzzy but shows the colours accurately - my camera made everything rather pinkish-orange with the flash on.

    THREAD NECROPHILIA ALERT!!!

My feet are fine now, in case anyone wanted to know. Took a while, but eventually the coloured patches peeled off, and the skin isn't overly sensitive any more. Huzzah!

[I shall soon be returning to the toe pornography arena now that my war wounds have healed In the meantime, here is a toe-filled image for GodspeedGehenna's entertainment.]
