**URGENT** quick help! RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER, ENDURING LOVE, GREAT GATSBY watch

    Are all the texts listed above in media res? (meaning, starting from the middle of the plot rather than at the start)

    Or would you say Rime and Gatsby are written in hindsight....? I'd argue that Enduring Love is defo written in media res...although he states the beginning was simple to mark, he does start with the balloon incidence and then rewind back to him and Clarissa.

    If anyone has any sort of knowledge for any of the txts, please help and express your views x x

    I would say Gatsby is more written in hindsight - Nick recounts the three month period over the summer of 1922 (I think it's 1922 :s) to us from beginning to end. Plus, he is writing it two years later "to distance himself" from the events.
