I'm carrying out an investigation for my maths coursework into the relationship between GDP and life expectancy all over the world. I have a selection of data for 50 different countries (selected using a stratified method) and now I want to move on and assess the correlation. Does anyone have an idea of what sort of statistical analysis would be best for these two data types?

I study IB Maths Studies but I wanted to have it at quite a high level. I was thinking of doing a chi squared test but the course specification talks about using more than one relevant statistical method...

Any help would be much appreciated, and I can give +rep or w/e.
