I really really need some advice...absense watch

    • Thread Starter

Ok, I'm kinda freaking out about this and I really need some advice.

Basically, I'm hoping to start at either Newcastle or Northumbia Uni in September 2010. The problem is I've been asked to be a bridesmaid in my friends wedding, which is on 2nd October 2010. This would be fine, except my friend lives in michigan, USA. This would therefore require me going away to America for a week, right at the start of my Uni course. I've looked at the information online for the 2009/2010 courses, and it seemed to suggest that welcome week was the first week of the semester. It would be at some point during this week that I would need to fly. So, firstly, what would happen if I missed welcome week? Would I be completely lost? And, secondly, what would happen if I missed my first ever lecture? Would I have to let anyone know? I'm new to this whole system and I don't know what to do!

Any advice would be much appretiated!
