    Hey,
I'm doing the same course as you! N I'm from Pakistan!
I kinda researched the accommodation! N there are en-suites at Stamford, and Great Dover, n Studios at Liberty!

And as far as the environment goes ... i really dont have a clue! Bt my guess is there will be tons of people like us! So dont worry! We're all in the same boat!

Hey Xanyi, im an international student and ill be applying for accommodation soon! What do u think of the studios at Liberty?!
I wouldn't go for a studio personally, as I feel you completely lose the social aspect of living in halls. You have everything in your room; whereas in SSA/GDSA the kitchens are shared, meaning you really become close to other people in your flat. I don't want to feel too isolated at uni!

Are you going to be based at the Strand campus?

Good luck with the UCL application too
Yup, I shall be based at Strand  Just got back from my post offer open day; third time I've looked around and I still love it!

Thanks, tbh it'd be nice to be able to have the choice, but I'm pretty set on King's as my firm :]

Aah, will your decision sway at all depending on other university decisions? You've been to KCL three times? :p: I won't be able to make the post offer open day for my subject

Hey, I am definitely going to KCL in September, provided I get the grades (pretty confident though). I'll be doing History, is anyone else? They apparently have such a great department and I really love London and am just so happy with the offer. I'm in Manchester and have lived here all my life so am ready to leave. I really just can't wait for uni, meeting new people etc. My only big worry is the cost. My parents will of course help me out but they're not that well off themselves. I know I'll have to get a job and take out a loan, which I really wish I didn't. Them's the breaks.

Well I've heard back from all other than UCL, which is my second choice. Atm I'm trying to decide what I really want out of my degree, because the two courses offer two different things completely. Part of me feels like the King's course is going to be too much pressure; it combines 7 years worth of study into 4 years, whereas the UCL course is a 'standard' 4 year course...

Guess I'll have to wait to see if they even give me an offer, and then make a pros & cons list :P

Does anyone know how long it takes to get from Brian Creamer to Guy's campus? How much does it cost roughly?

    (Original post by Dr_HI)
    Hey

    course: biomedical science

    current location: london

expectations: meet amazing people and have the best three years of my life, hope that's not too high an expectation to have :P

worries: not getting accomodation as I only live a 15 minute train ride away, so would like accomodation for first year just to have the experience of independance and living alone etc but would understand if I didn't get due to housing not being essential just preferential. Also worried I won't get the grades which would be such a shame, I think I'm a little bit in love with the uni
Hi I've applied for the same course as yours. Just out of interest where would you apply for accommodation?

I received a booklet about accomodation in the post today. Looking at last year's prices I will only be able to afford accomodation in Brian Creamer House, Wolfson House and Hampstead Residence (would rather not live here). When applying for accomodation can I say i'm only prepared to go to these places? As I will not be able to afford any of the other accomodation.
    Thanks
    Matthew
I'm in exactly the same position as you. If I don't get accommodation at these places, I think I'd probably take a gap year... Which campus will you be studying at?
