Convex Functions
For what interval is this function convex
5x^2 - 6x - ln(x)?
a) [-1/root10, 1/root 10]
b) (-infinity, 2/root10]
c) (0,+infinity)
d) (-infinity, +infinity)
The only possible answer is c since a function when its convex has to be convex for all the values, all the other answers have negative values which are not defined by the function given above, correct?
