I'm in my first year at university.
My halls rent came out today. It's more than the money I got from Student Loans for this term. Now I'm over-overdrawn. I can't get a job around here so that's not an option. I've already started stealing food and toiletries to get by, but now I need to find a few hundred pounds.
All I can see is doing something illegal - robbing a shop or outright stealing whatever I can from whoever I can. I don't want to do that, but right now I can't see any other way out

Go to your uni finance department and they will give you advice/short term loan etc.

Is this a one-off, or are you going to have this problem every term? If the latter, you need a bigger income - and if the loan isn't big enough, you're going to HAVE to get a job, or borrow from your parents, to cover your outgoings.
If the former, and it's just a case of a few hundred on this one occasion, go and speak to your bank, explain the situation (without mentioning the theft part) and increase your overdraft to cover it temporarily.
