Not a creepy request as it sounds, but I may be spending just short of a week in Oxford and I was wondering if there are nice, friendly groups who'd adopt me :p:

I realise this will come across as being a bit weird, and I'll probably get no replies, but I told my boyfriend I'd ask, so here I am

I'll be visiting my boyfriend. I wasn't planning on joining sports teams though...
As for churches, I was more thinking of visiting the college chapels, but that's all.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll be fine. I'll wander round the cafes etc. and be perfectly content.

That is true, however, he is busy due to lectures/tutorials, and they all go to the same ones.
    He's not a branch-out-into-other-subjects kinda guy I guess :p:

As CPChem said, medics are the cliquiest subject by far.

Oh dear. I guess I didn't really think about that
Ah well, I'll make friends with a well-educated tramp or something.

Depends on the sub-species. Medics win by a considerable margin over everyone else. For second place... lawyers? Maybe? Not really sure, no group leaps out.

That's just Balliol in general I'm sure.

Sub-species don't work by college. Anyway a group being cliquey doesn't matter if you're part of that group.

Yeah this is true. It's a survival technique to try and make it through the reading list each week without dying. Strength in numbers and all that.

You've raised my curiosity! Are english students cliquey? Also, do arts students tend to mix mainly with arts students or is there a whole blend of arts and sciences?
