    Hi
this may seem like a pretty stupid question but i was just wondering whether any colleges in Cambridge allow students to smoke in the bedrooms?
King's has smoking rooms. I know this for a fact since I have several smoker-friends who are allowed to smoke in their rooms.

At Sidney you can smoke outdoors, but not anywhere indoors.

A quick Google shows that Newnham also forbids smoking.
It does, and (according to Newnham housekeeping's policy of fining for everything) there is a fine (quite a large one I think) for if your room smells of smoke at the end of the term, so it's not even a matter of just not getting caught.

I don't know the specific rule at Pembroke, but I would advise against it if only because the fire alarms are notoriously sensitive, and there's a £70 fine if you set one off.
