Peer-to-peer is frowned upon primarily because of the amount of bandwidth it uses. The recent 'ban' of Spotify surely proves this, since the whole point of Spotify is that is is legal, yet it has still fallen foul of OUCS.
The amount of bandwidth used by games is akin to browsing the internet.
I'm not talking about Spotify, that's P2P filesharing, I'm talking about P2P activities in general, like games and such like.
