    Lol yeah, well I maintain that whisk(e)y is the meaning of life, or at least it helps you get there faster!

    Well I do dilute the drinks if it's a cheap and easy drink. Like a cheap whiskey or rum. I have a rule that if it's a spirit that is under £20 then it's ok to mix the drink with coke, lemonade or whatever because chances are I'm drinking it not to enjoy it (although I do enjoy it) but just to unwind and get pissed.

    However when the spirits cost more than £20 they start to have a little more taste to them, especially with whiskies. So I try and drink it straight if possible.

    Otherwise whats the point in spending over £20 on a whiskey or spirit if you are just going to mix it with something.

    Seems a waste.

    Your right. I suppose it's force of habit on my part to always order something decent even if I plan on making it last that bit longer. The rule sounds like something I ought to consider. It would certainly save me a few few bob.
