I wish msn would die. If I could delete it tomorrow, I would happily.
However due to distance and a certain waste of space male who won't leave his computer for nadda, no MSN means no talking to them on a regular basis. :yep:

I still use msn with friends, but it's only a small core of us. I mean, there used to be loads of people online all the time; now there's hardly anyone. It seems like you're right, as a lot of people complain about nobody being on facebook chat...but, I'm stuck to MSN because it's tied into my only email account, so, if I wanted to check my emails without logging in to Hotmail I have to log in to MSN.

Never use facebook chat though. Sure, 80/90 odd friends, but, I don't want to talk to them unless they've added me on MSN because then I can usually tell the conversation is going to be better than "Oh, s'appenin" or whatever valleys-speak they're coming out with.

Anyone know what QQ is? It's an instant messenger famous mostly around East Asian countries. It's supposed to be the most used IM in the world. Link.

fb chat sucks. Why would I want to use a web client messenger when I can use a desktop client like MSN? If you have multiple tabs of fb open and someone messages you it sounds like a firecracker in a tin. Stupid.

Although one thing I hate about msn is when people add you and you have no idea who in Hell's name they are. In fact, less than a few minutes after posting this, I already had an add from someone who I have no clue about; neither do my mates. PAH.

I mean, I used to talk to at least three/four friends a day on MSN, and these days, it seems like no one can really be bothered to use it. Does anyone here actually still use it? I reckon facebook is the reason why everyone cba anymore.

    (I don't really know why I care )
I think the real reason for its "demise" is being able to talk to people while Appearing Offline.

I remember them days when I couldn't go withought MSN for atleast a week:| The new MSN versions has totally killed it off in my opinion. I prefer the 2008 version. After I left school in that year MSN was a downer and its time to get my jiggy on with facebook, eventhough I think that it is a load of horse**** too. But.. I like to be nosy and snoop around facebook eventhough I never update mine , because the picture upload never works GGGRRR!

I still use MSN, but I only talk to my closest friends on there now, or to my friends who don't have Facebook.
Quite a few of people still use it on my contact list actually, so thankfully they haven't all converted over to Facebook!
I just find MSN easier, with all it's functions.. For example, using the webcam for when I'm away from home at Uni..
It automatically signs me in when my laptops starts up... so I guess it's kinda routine for me to go on it! I find it better than Facebook chat, which hardly ever works for me.

I hate Windows live, the old MSN wasnt too bad but 67 megabytes just for messenger, what a pile of crap I prefer the online sites like Ebuddy where you just log in to whatever chat you want like AIM or yahoo on same page without having to install anything.

I dont mind if MSN was only a few meg but why is it so big! it never used to be.

I used to talk to 10 people at once using MSN a few years ago.
Things have definitely died down, I have drifted away from almost all my online only friends and real life people are better to talk to in real life.

I still use it, to talk to 2 people regularly, sometimes a third.

Yeh, I don't get it. People are becoming more and more unsociable on the internet. They go on facebook instead of msn, so they don't have to actually bother talking but still get noticed. Meh....
