I've just got an interview at the Univeristy of Gloustershire for BEd Primary Education on the 13th February 2010 at 8:30. I am really nervous, but desperate to impress them.
The only thing I'm stuck on is they asked me to bring an item which I would use with a group of children to encourage them to learn. What do I take? I have to do a five minute presentation in which I explain why I've chosen and how it would help children. Please help...
If anyone is currently on the course and can remember their interview it would help to have an opinion on what it was like. Or if anyone is going to the interview, let me know that I'm not the only one really nervous lol.

things like reward charts and stickers as well. i dont have experience as a teacher but i do have 3 children who have these badges with 10 spaces for stickers and hard work/listening/helping gets rewarded with a sticker. when they have filled the 10 spaces they get a certificate. they absolutely love getting stickers on their badges and it has always encouraged them. another thng they used to do as well is each day 1 child whould be chosen to take home a cuddly bear just for 1 night. it was a reward for good behaviour and they would get a little exercise book/journal with it and each child would write down what they did with the stuffed toy that evening and bring it all back to school the next day for the next child. i dont know if these are good ideas but i know they are things that have really encouraged my kids in the past. good luck!
