My left rib sticks out further than the other, as if it's pushed out or filled with something (other than what should be).

    So, is it normal? Thanks.

Yeah it's a totally common and normal 'problem', you look fine especially given it's only a very slight difference - one side of my ribs is super freaky but it's not causing any adverse effects so why worry! My Mum has a very curved spine but I've been checked and have no problems there. No one has a perfectly symmetrical body anyway.

A rib prominence is a sign of scoliosis. I have a protruding left rib, but my whole body is lopsided to the right due to the spinal curvature. Curves of less than 10 degrees are very common. If you're getting other syptoms, back pains, hip pains, you might want to see a doctor.

I'm pretty sure you have minor scoliosis, I would go and see you GP if I were you, but I don't think you have it severe enough to worry about. I had severe scoliosis when I was younger and had to have corrective surgery, but my rib cage was literally twisted half way around my back!

My bottom left rib protrudes too, and it amuses my boyfriend no end! It's never bothered me so I'm not going to do anything about it.
