Christ-Fister - theyre a band that used to go to my school. Their idea of a gig was get absolutely nailed on whatever they could get their hands on and bash a few drums/scream. It was quite frankly uh-mazing to watch

That's nothing compared to some of the fictional album covers on their record sleeves-

    Crunchy The Donkey Brays Elgar
Mao-Tse Tung w/ The Mike Sammes Singers (You're More Than A Number In My Little Red Book)
Roughs With Sticks - **** Off, Mr Chips!
Joe Public And The General Consensus
The Stooges of Humber - Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hull
    (my personal favourite)
    et cetera.

I'd say LARD (I have a strange urge to write that in caps- is that right?) is more of a Jello project rather than a DK offshoot, but then again I was never in the "DK = Jello, Jello = DK" camp.

"pagan wanderer lu" and "napoleon iiird" (both awesome)
    "seabear" (they're fun:P: )
"bodixa" (for a while renamed "star bodixa" due to legalities with the name bodixa)
oh and of course "the 5.6.7.8.'s".

I bet my life that somebody who thinks the name of one band is ridiculous, someone else thinks is brilliant. It's all a bit pointless tbh... what is a good band name then?

I guess Muse (which I love) is a pretty apt name for them. But yeh... there aren't as many ridiculous band names as everyone is suggesting in this thread. 3OH!3 and such I agree with but Bowling for Soup... well, it's a perfectly decent name for a band imo!

    Fightstar
    The All-American Rejects
    Angels and Airwaves
    Long Time Dead
Jimmy Rockit (there was nobody in the band called Jimmy or even James)
    Bullet for my Valentine
    Queens of the Stone Age

If I ever form a band, it's going to be called Starcross Street in honour of the so named street I walk past on the way to college every day.

C.U.N.T... standards for 'See You Next Tuesday', obviously.

Knew a band called 'Arse Carnage' once.

I also believe there is a band simply called '!!!'.

And then there's the band SunnO))).
