Hi there - my parents suffered a drop in their household income just after my student loan was calculated back in April last year. I was wondering if there's any way to get it reassessed and the surplus paid out to me?

I'm sure I read somewhere there was a certain figure to fall over to qualify for reassessment (15% i think) but I've no idea what form to use.

    Thanks!

I did that too! You have to download a change of circumstance form from the forms section, and send it off. I think you need evidence from your mum/dad's employer too.

I'm not sure if you get the surplus from september's payment, though.

    Current Income form:

    http://www.direct.gov.uk/dr_consum_d.../dg_177632.pdf

    1. Print off two

    2. Get your parents to fill them in with estimates of their income for 2009-10 and send them up to SFE

    3. ?

    4. PROFIT
