A Question About Resitting! watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hello TSR,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with a question please.. Umm i have a feeling that i didn't do well in my biology exam which i took like a week ago; if i was to resit this unit in May would it count as a "resit" when applying to university? Also, will i be at a disadvantage, compared to others who didn't resit?

Thank You... Any help is much appreciated!

I have been looking around on many university web pages and they say that units must be sat at the first sitting after no more than 2 years of study...

Does this mean that this particular university counts exams as resits if they were taken in the third year of study?? i.e after the 2 years of A-Level Study??

As well as this, is this generally the same for all universities except for the top ranged ones e.g. cambridge, oxford etc??

All Units can be taken within 2 years of study. So it wouldnt count as a resit. The resits that Unis refer to on their websites are MAINLY regarding the final A2 exams you sit. Unless specified. Thats my understanding. Maybe contacting individual Unis will be the safest bet though.
