I've always been below average at spelling and grammar, I struggle to read and especially write text at the same pace as my peers, words often get mixed up in my head, i have to re-read paragraphs several times to understand what they mean, and despite being a really confident and outgoing person, I find it nearly impossible to read aloud without either mixing up the order of the sentence or parts of words.. etc etc etc All of these pretty can be embarassing at times!

I'm 95% sure i am dyslexic after reading about the symptoms, but i'm not sure where to go to get a real diagnosis, do I really need to go to the doctors or? Only thing that's really annoying is that I rarely complete my exams (especially sociology essays) in time and I really feel my grades are suffering because of this! I know you can get extra time and stuff but really don't know how i'd go about getting it...

    Help please?

I think you'd need to talk to your school. They'd arrange to test you for dyslexia, I think.

Don't waste your time asking random bored teenagers about your future. No one really cares. You should probably get an appointment with your doctor.

I think you should ask your doctor what they think.
A booked appointment with a doctor can arrange a test for you.
Also, mention it to your school that you think you're dyslexic, and are finding it difficult to complete an exam in the set time.

Hmmm I will do... I'd prefer just to get it sorted out rather than just take extra time struggling in every exam....and lesson.

What year are you in? If you're in sixth form I'd talk to your head of sixth form, and they'll tell you what to do. I know my friend was tested through the school. Also if it's affecting your lessons tell your teachers you're having these problems and that you will be tested for dyslexia. The only solution to the exam problems would be extra time, I'd think.

Omg I have the exact same symptons but I don't do too bad in exams. It's only if I have to write short essay answers or long essays that it takes me slower to write them down but I know the answer in my head. It's just hard to communicate them correctly onto paper fast like other people. My friends always say that I write slower than them and I can never learn something in the given time - I always need to re-read the text over again and again out loud to properly understand the meaning of words. Also I can't write fast in exams or naturally which makes my words and handwriting go all funny and weird.
I think I may have dyslexia too, are the symptons above in accordance to dyslexia.
