Hey, I got 75/75 for C2 that is a 100%, but the UMS lowered my mark to 96%. On the other hand, my friend got 94% for C2 and UMS raised his mark to 98%. Why does the UMS system differ from person to person? What is the Criteria? Thank you in advance..

How do you know you got 75/75 for that paper?

Getting all the answers right doesn't mean you got all the marks for working..

If its a hard paper and very few get high raw marks the UMS boundaries go down in your mates case, if its an easy paper as yours likely was (though you didn't get 75/75 for 96% UMS) the boundaries go up.

I am not sure whether your school showed you your Results Plus Analysis for the papers you sat in. The Edexcel Officer at my school showed me that. It shows where you lost your marks and did UMS increase or decrease your marks.

If you had the same exam then one of you didn't get the raw marks you quoted. Simple as.

That's impossible, i don't know why you would lie. UMS stands for Uniform Mark Scheme, uniform meaning that its the same accross the board for everyone
