I've taken 8 months out of uni, and going back to finish my final year, I can say that work experience is very important! I wouldn't say that a degree isn't worth it, as employers still look for graduates, but I think degrees with an year in industry, or one's that give you time to gain work experience are going to be more beneficial. I'm finding it hard to get work cos i'm overqualified with no experience.
Yes. With no degree you'll have no job at all unless you think you can climb the ranks at tesco or you're extremely lucky. Depends what subject you're doing though. Media studies might not mean an automatic job but a good science degree in chemistry, physics etc. pretty much does.

If your motive for getting a degree is getting a job then perhaps not, perhaps its more important since all of your competition, even for "bog standard jobs", will have a degree.

If your motive is personal growth or knowledge, then yes it is worth it.
