    Hello everyone,

    I will be finishing my undergraduate studies this spring and was thinking of going on to do a masters in International Relations. I was wondering when you guys thought I should start applying for 2010 courses. My personal tutor said that it didn't really matter and that I could wait as long as July but some of my friends have already apllied to several unis? Would that make them more likely to get a place than me? Thaks for your help

    The sooner you apply, the sooner you'll get your interview/offer. If it's a popular course, it will save you time and you'll have a better chance of securing an offer.

    The earlier you apply, the higher chances you have. You'd better start writing your application now! Keep in mind that you'll need time to write your personal statement and to submit two references (+ if necessary a research proposal).

    However, I can tell you from my own experiences that nothing is lost yet. This may only account for undergraduate courses but for my BA I applied after the final deadline and still received five offers - two from quite popular unis.
