Take That released The Circus in 2008. Therefore, they don't qualify for any awards.

Well that's quite a grim selection, I hope Friendly Fires, Florence and Bat for Lashes win something though. Especially BFL, Natasha Khan is glorious.. oh, and Bruce Springsteen for international male. The album of 30 years choices are just.. :lolwut:
    bloody hell

read my mind :yep: :yep: :yep:

So not one good act nominated.

    Nice one...

EDIT- Except the verve, and if they don't win that category, I'm going on a killing spree.

I would go on a killing spree if they won above Dire Straits who are infinitely better than them.

JLS are the worst thing to come out of the UK in decades.

    Where's the international band category?

    Personally I think Pixie,Muse,JLS,and Gaga
    should all get an award.
I'm suprised Leona got an nomination,
I thought her last album bombed
    .
In the UK it hasn't bombed.. but worldwide the sales have been appalling.. but that's what you get working with Simon, who thinks that a ballad guarantees you success.

    In your opinion !

their success says otherwise.. dude there album is so close to selling a million, sold out tour, 2 number 1 singles, 1 number one book & calender.. and One Shot is probably going to be there 3rd number 1.
    Opposite story is Alexandra Burke

Album is still 500k, and 2nd single stalled at #8. Hmmm who's the real winner?

Chart success means nothing when looking at music.

Does how the mainstream music marketing process need to be explained again? They are talentless individuals who got through on a talent show and didn't even win it even when the competition was all very weak. Success doesn't equate to quality. JLS are marketed on their looks to the teenage girl market. Simples.

I don't hold anything against them as individuals, just their music is just as generic as can be with much of mainstream R&B today.

Their album has sold close to a million as it was an easy Christmas present for young girls notice how it has plummeted down the charts since Christmas Alexandra is now outselling them.

Yeh they may have had two number one singles but compared to the sales of other number ones last year they have sold relatively poorly. Also they were on the X Factor twice this year not everyone can get that force fed promotion.

Wow they had a number one book so did Jordan and she is the most hated women in the UK. As for the calendar big deal.

The fact of the matter is JLS are terrible. Alexandra may have sold less but look at the amount of competitors she has compared to the zero competitors JLS have. Alexandra will still be releasing records in ten years time JLS will either be working in McDonalds or on Dancing On Ice.
