    Hi,

I am on a gap year, resitting some A2 modules at the minute, then going travelling in February. I sent my application off in November and have since received all my offers. My top two are Newcastle and Royal Holloway who have both offered me conditional ABB places. However, I just calculated the marks I will need from these resits, the maximum marks I can get, and the impact they will have on my over all grades for each subject. I can only get BBB (up from BCC) maximum, as I can't resit any AS modules (on top of the A2 modules im currently resitting) as both AQA and OCR have removed/updated these Specifications.

What can I do? I had my heart set on these Unis, but now it seems they are out of my league. Yet I don't understand why they would have offered me a place at ABB if the maximum I can get is BBB. I personally didn't receive my predicted grades, just assumed they would be on UCAS, and my school hasn't told me them so I can't shed any light on why I have been offered ABB.

    Any help will be appreciated!

maybe they're expecting you to up the B to an A and the two C's to B's?

Did your school realise that the maximum you could get is BBB? If not, then they might've put your predicted grades as ABB and then the universities have made their offers based on that.

Are the offers the standard offers that RHUL and Newcastle make for your course? Or do they offer between ABB-BBB? If the latter, then it's probably best to contact them and let them know of your situation. If the former, then there's not much you can do as they're just giving the standard offer and have no reason to lower it for your circumstances.
