just wondering if anybody else flunked history AS as epicly as I did last year despite doing an unhealthy amount of revisions for it (!) and having good predictions? If so what were you predicted and what did you achieve in said modules:

    makhani:
    Britain 1815-65: Predicted A, achieved: A 89/100 methinks
Impact of Stalin's leadership on the USSR: Predicted A, achieved D 53/100 :yep:

and who else has the great pleasure of retaking?

did Stalin give you you're C by any chance?

I'm thinking since I revised like a b*tch last time and did crud, since I've done no revision this time, I'll get full marks.

Flawless philosophy if you ask me....

I didn't take it, but there were several guys in my year who were expecting to do really well but came out with Cs/Ds, one of them was planning to take history at university level as well.

This is really creepy. Most of us got an A on Unit 1 and C on unit 2 (which I'm retaking tomorrow) But I'm doing good old Henry VIII (who, if you change the Roman numerals to our currently accepted number system, we get: H8! )

Lulz, I messed up history so badly at A Level. I just didn't get it. I got an A* at GCSE and a C overall at A Level. That (very, very special C) comprised of 4 Bs, 1 C and a big, fat U. Bloody genius, I am.

I blame the dictators too. We did 3 modules about ******* and one on Mussolini. My U was in the British Empire module, though. Ridiculously boring.

History marking seems to be so temperamental. People in my class who were predicted As in one module got Us or Es and I managed to scrape a C. The module I knew absolutely nothing for and went into the exam preparing for failure I got one mark off an A.

ETA: Apparently you're not allowed to put an 'S' at the beginning of Hitler :hmmm:

Yeah I noticed that too. In my class for Unit 2 only one person got a B (the highest grade), like one person got a C and the rest Ds-Us.

A levels are just a bit of a joke really. In most of my exams all the **** people did really well and the good, really ****.

I wouldn't care if the rest of my ******* life didn't depend on it.
