My boyfriend has hinted to sex tonight however, I feel so bad and low in self-esteem today for some reason. I have honestly been eating piggishly and feeling so tired after my exams.

I'll feel even worse if I don't do it but I'll also feel so **** if I do it and I won't be in the moment.

How do you just let him down gently?

Just be honest. "I'm not in the mood today, I'm sorry". Don't over-think it

If you're going to feel even worse if you don't do it, then why aren't you doing it?
If your heart isn't in the moment then that's a fair point, but you might enjoy it more than you realise.

Either that, or tell him that you just fancy cuddling up tonight rather than having sex, then tell him it's because you feel ill and wouldn't enjoy it (which in a sense is true, if you're tired and feel bad).

If he's been your boyfriend for a while, and likes you, he wont mind not having sex tonight! Just tell him straight, no point leading him on then turning him down at the last minute, as he'll be even more disappointed!
