Why bother making Europe happy though? Who cares if we are liked by these socialist morons? Britain is important because they are our number one ally, but continental europe is a waste of our time. Making France and Germany happy has just alienated Obama at home. Americans want to hear about "american exceptionalism." We don't want to hear our president in front of french and german audiences telling them we have misguided foreign policy, we lost sight of our ideals, we torture people, our previous presidents were all idiots. I've see Obama pander on three separate continents and it's very frustrating.

I don't want balance. We are a proud people and an American president shouldn't be bowing or apologizing to anyone about anything. This is embarrassing! I can't wait to throw this groveling wimp out of office in 2012.
    Wow.. er. Socialist morons?

Was that too harsh? There is no bigger insult than calling someone a socialist.

Lets be honest... as expected by the Israeli right his "acting fairly" has just given the Palestinians the impression they can lay back and the US will force us into concessions... and thus refused negotiations(despite the settlement freeze... I never heard of Olmert, Rabin, or Sharon having these conditions placed upon them). Well done.
Not that I'm taking sides but you Israel hasn't conceded anything but in rhetoric. We both know the settlement freeze was never going to happen, Netanyahu was going to continue building under the premise that he had to allow for 'natural growth'. In reality Fatah have done everything they can to get these talks going baring in mind the threat Hamas pose to themselves if they seem to be giving too many concessions. It's Netanyahu who has come out best from the fallout, even Obama has suffered because of his failure to kick start negotiations.

You're an idiot - the settlement freeze is already in effect and I've been to Judea and Samaria to see it for myself.

It's not a freeze if it allows for natural growth, they will continue to build.

No natural growth in the settlements is allowed, only existing building projects can be completed. After that nothing until the 10 months is over.

For one thing they're still building in East Jerusalem. The other thing is of course that the regime has already said settlement expansion will return after the temporary suspension and of course Netanhayu may back down from his position if talks are not going well. But it is most certainly an olive branch, and hopefully something good will come of this. This puts Abbas in a better position with regards to his support for talks from Hamas. Hopefully he will come to the table.

Well the longest running thread on the entire forum is about Israel-Palestine so a few people care. I check up on the issue from time to time.

So i make you look like an ignorant idiot on one topic and you seamlessly jump onto the next. Before we continue I think you should apologize for your ignorance. And East Jerusalem is the capital of Israel at least for now... and we reserve the right to build whatever the hell we want there.

We would be able to prevent 80-90% of all terrorist attacks against Westerners by targetting those individuals with particular surnames.

When did you make me look like an idiot, I've been entirely consistent. Don't kid yourself. By the way I'm not partisan on the matter.

You can say it all you want but until you substantiate it it means absolutely nothing.

And democrats will get massacred....*points to approval ratings and their historical
There was one president who came to power in the midst of a recession and had a sub-50% approval after 1 year in office. Care to guess his name? Or what happened 3 years later?

When the economy comes good again, Obama will (rightly or wrongly) get the credit.

+ There are other issues too.

    Reagan = 'Let's lower tax'
Obama = "let's raise tax, force the people into something they don't want, break every short term promise and make America look like a pussy"

    No? You see no difference?

You think this is only about the economy?

Can you ever avoid using the roll eyes emoticon? I suppose you must need the help of a little smiley face to reassure yourself about the arguments you are making  seewhatididtherelol

To Made In USA, Europe as a continent is not socialist. Why is it to some American conservatives such as yourselves, that anything less than no-holds-barred unrestrained capitalism = communism/socialsm and therefore is evil. I know you have a culture ingrained there of hating big government and all, but Republicans seem to take it to such extremes.
Reagan speaks out on socialised medicine.
    It's evil don't you know.

Basically. It was 100% private, no government involvement. My only point was this whole "you get a bill you can't afford and then you lose your house and die on the streets" argument is usually total nonsense.
