Student finance....proof of salary watch

    I am having trouble gettin a proof of salary from both of my parents.
    My mums housewife and my dad is self-employed. There's no P60 for both of them......what should i do?

    Your dad will need to send his self assessment tax return as evidence. If he doesn't have this (my dad didn't) then just call up Student Finance and ask them what else he can use as evidence for his income. With your mum being a housewife she wouldn't need a P60 to prove her income since she is currently unemployed.

    Thanks for the advice.
    But it might not be the case....He's not working in the UK. Though he can provide tax forms from other countries that he works. I better phone them up and ask.

    What's self assessment tax return??
    I think it is what a self employed person or his/her accountant fills in at the end of each tax year to see how much tax he/she owes.
