Hi, I've applied for civil engineering and has managed to cut my choices to three unis.

    UCL, AAA
    Bristol AAA
    Imperial AAA*

but it's now rather hard to decide which to firm and insurance

Could anyone share some insight on this?
    I really appreciate it, thanks.

i wouldn't ask people to decide for you. Giving someone else the responsiblity of chosing where you're gonna spend the next 3/4 years of your life is not a good idea...

    advice? yes.
my advice is; what do YOU think?

Can't you go and visit the univerisites yourself and see if you like it?

I think Imperial and UCL is in London so maybe book a day out and see which you like best out of the two?

Hmm nah I'm not leaving the decision to anyone, (I've a responsibility to choose too I guess :yep: ) but what I'm just hoping is probably some opinion as I can't visit the unis which i've applied to this year.

I'm an international student and my schedule is tight up till June so there's no chance I could go and visit (although I"d really love to) them before the UCAS deadline. I've read through prospectuses and website and I guess it would really help too if there're people who've been there, or might have considered them, etc.

    Briefly,
I think I'm going to firm Imperial, as it looks like they have great facilities and a high reputation for engineering, etc.

As for UCL and Bristol, I like (from what I saw) UCL's campus, the many facilities available, looks like a vibrant uni and the course structure isn't bad.
and Bristol, their prospectus really impressed me, with tutors and industrial tutors, facilities, plus it looks like a great place to study.

i would also go for imperial as firm. It's an extremely good university. Also, it would be silly to put imperial as an insurance
Have you looked at the information on here that gives student's opinions of the universities? That may be a good thing to do if you haven't already
also, you could always wait for a month or so to decide on your insurance? There's no rush, or is there a different deadline for international students?

Were your other two offers AAA or better? If not, I'd recommend having your insurance as an AAB or something like that because you aren't guarenteed to get AAA.
