I was wondering, are you entitled to a larger student loan or grant if you don't receive any financial support from parents?
Also, if this is the case, does it mean that parents don't need to support your application and give their income details?
Aand, if you do have a supporting parent who does need to give in their income details, do you have to wait till April for the newest p60 documents?
Thaaanks, it's all so confusing.

1. your parents have to supply their income details unless you haven't lived at home for 3 or more years.
2. its based on their income from the previous year, whether they help you or not. unles you haven't lived with them for 3 or more years, in which case its based on your earnings for the previous financial year.

They will need to give LAST year's P60, the one for 08-09.
Unless you are estranged from your parents or have been living away from home for 3 years or are over 25 you'll be considered dependent and they will be expected to make a contribution. You don't get any more just because they refuse. Unless you apply for an income assessed loan the most you'll get is about 70 odd % of the maximum loan available.
