How did everyone find it today, the C3P3B3 exam?
    I kinda messed up, =\

What did you mess up on?
Those questions about the disadvantage of G.E. and selective breeding are so tedious!

omg what did you put for that question where it asked the optimum ph

The optimum temp was 7. And then I just explained about how pH interferes with the bonds within the enzyme, eventually causing it to denature, and then related back to the question by saying how the graph was curved because the more alkaline or acidic the pH, the less chance of the enzyme catalysing the substrate. Tbh..I think the last bit is wrong.

I messed up on easy questions in Biology..but apparently you only need around 46/60 to get an A*...well thats what everyone at my school thinks.

But don't worry if you messed up..we still gave the B4C4P4 exam and coursework too..
    What was your coursework question?

PH was 7 and if the ph is too high or low the enzymes denature which messes with the lock and key mechanism.
Pretty easy test overall I thought.

Pheww, I put 7 as well for the PH and i talked about the denaturing of the enzymes etc, people put 4 thats why i thought it was wrong. I'm hoping for an A*, don't know if I'll get it or not.

The gradeboundaries for last year were 46/60 for an A*.

How did you draw the graph for the temperature?

Oh the coursework is a "Data task" and "research study".
We're doing the Data Task soon, but for the research study i got like 15/24 =\, a "C".

Oh and I just remembered, what did you lot put for that Physics equation, where it asked for the Acceleration?

I hated that metal question, I mean it was "easy" but I found it hard =S
What was the best thing for the doorstop?

For the graph it was just like a smile and the acceleration question was 2.

I got the metal question wrong, according to me we should all but £20000 doorstops. Most people put copper/iron.

I drew the graph like that too, and i got 2 aswell!

Oh I got the metal question wrong too, I put silver because it had the most density? its wrong i know.

On the first page, It was asking about how cholesterol leads to heart damage or something? I wrote so much for that, I didn't even know what the exact thing you had to put.

Oh and that question about selective breeding:you had to put true or false for each statement, mutations and less variation...what did you put?

I put silver aswel, cholestoral leads to heart damage as it restricts the amount of blood getting to the heart which causes the heart to work harder, placing it under strain.

The answer for the selective breeding question was true and then false.

What did you get in Core science last year? C1P1B1 and C2P2B2.

C1P1B1 I got 100/100 and on C2P2B2 I achieved 99/100 but only because I reallly tried for those two. But I think I got overconfident and thought I didn't need to revise too much..and I know I haven't done too well.

Silver was wrong. I certainly wouldn't be paying for £20,000 doorstoppers! Honestly, my school is messed up when I comes to coursework! They don't adhere to any of the rules..e.g. we're not meant to take the work home...we often do. I guess it's because our new Head of Science Department is a complete and utter retard.

    WOW!
    I got 90/100 and 91/100.

    Your really clever.
I bet I have got everything wrong on this paper =(

HAHA! I find it hilarious when people say that because I'm still flopping in my other subjects! All I did was memorise the CGP revision guide.

Seriously..You'll be fine! What is your coursework question?

There are two pieces of coursework, I think?

The data task, and the research study.
Seriously, our teacher is rubbish, the one we had last year was better. I don't think I'll get an A* overall for additional science now.

Anyway, I managed to find out what I got for Science in the News, and the "Can do tasks":

    I got 31/36 + 24/24.
    = 55/60.

This scaled, is 90 ums marks out of 100.

So I have got an A* overall for last years,
    90 + 91 + 90 = 271 - A*

Oh and don't worry, the only subject i'm good at is Science!
