1. (Original post by taherq)
i think A will be in this range 56-58
HOPEFULLYY i actually found it sooo hard!! like none of the past papers wz that hard!!
2. (Original post by ArchedEdge)
You're wrong, it's impossible to divide by 0, so the cot2x=0 is impossible and not a valid answer.
hi arched.....how you doing?

i hope i am wrong. and you are right.. my only answers were 22.5 and 112.5

how did you find the paper by the way??
3. that paper hurt feelings
4. (Original post by hussam1992)
For questions 9) i) b) i used log instead of ln (the c2 method) and solved it and everything, but i got x=log(...) instead of ln(...) and i didnt cancel out e , how many mark will i lose, even though i got the answer as an exact but not in the way they wanted it. THEY DIDNT SPECIFY THAT THEY WANTED IT IN LN :P , anyway its my bad. xD
two of my classmates did that too
Fg(x)>= 3

its equal to aswell cos (x+1)^2 + 3

draw that graph it touches three...simple quadratic (completing the square) from c1!!!

remember ((ln) and (e)) canceled to become the equation above ^^
it is (x-1)^2 + 3
6. (Original post by Milan.)
still anyone
can someoen please say if question 8)
45 and 135 cannot be solutions i put them back into the original equations!!!

someone correct that mark scheme or prove me wrong please!

dammit
i lost that too
6 marks gone

oh wait -->

i did that and put fg>= 3
hope thats correct

unles with the composite function you have to take into account that g(x) is x>1

lost 6 marks (+ more if i had to include those two with the cotx=0) !!
that!!

i did what you did...so i am wrong as well
7. Who else thinks that June 2006 was not even hard compared to our paper?

I mean since June 2006 had such low boundaries, we should get lower! =(
8. (Original post by taherq)
for Q8 i got x= 0, 22.5, 90, 112.5
I GOT EXACTLY THE SAME ANSWERS!! I HOPE ITS RIGHT!!
9. I reckon im gonna get around 80-95 (percentage).
10. (Original post by klgyal)
I GOT EXACTLY THE SAME ANSWERS!! I HOPE ITS RIGHT!!
Ya dun kno, i got the same answers too!
11. (Original post by eowl)
i got fg>=4
i got fg>=3 because i got fg= (x-1)^2+3
12. That paper was well hard!!! I was kind of expecting this as the June 09 paper was so easy....Whats the graph for the ln[x]?
13. hey there, for question 8 are the solutions only 22.5 and 112.5, since cot2x cannot be equal to zero?
14. (Original post by klgyal)
i got fg>=3 because i got fg= (x-1)^2+3
I got fg> 4

I hope so, I sooo do not want to resit C3. Was banking on this to bring up C4 grade (sitting that Monday) - fat chance!
16. i see it can, how many marks for observing that do you think?
17. Oh **** on question 8, I got x=45 and stopped. Just stopped at that!! Wtf was I thinking.
18. is that me gonna get 100% on C3, I fink so, ROLL ON THE A*'S.
19. I found it hard! underestimated it.. hmm... gutted i dnt think can get A*!!
20. so for the last question, is it fg(x)>=3, since the graph is (x-1)^2+3

so you can include 3, i hope!
