1. night guys...its 10 to 12 here...need to sleep!!!
2. (Original post by Kameo)
It could be M1 Jan 09 you needed 49 for an A, and I think this paper there was more areas to make mistakes. I think an A would be 50 something, it was much harder than past papers.
it would be awesome if it was, there were loads of ways to lose marks even if you could answer the questions. but i think you're dilluding yourself thinking it will be that low, more realistically 58 at lowest as it wasn't extremely hard

4/[3(x+1)(3x+1)]
you reckon i will lose a mark for leaving it as 4/(3x+3)(3x+1)

hey,

that was some long swear what was it?

P.S. TOON TOON, BLACK AND WHITE ARMY!!!!!!!

Cot2x = 0

1/tan2x = 0 (tan2x=sin2x/cos2x)

=> cos2x/sin2x = 0
=> cos 2x = 0
yeah you are right...i had a dumb moment there
6. Think I lost 11 marks mainly due to silly mistakes (I differentiated x as ...x )
UGH!
I really needed at least 95 on this.
FML i'm retaking it whatever happens.

MIKE!!!!!!!!! hey mike!

I think 1 mark.
lol...hello...how you find the test?
8. (Original post by hammerhasni5)
my mates who did it found it real easy.. but thats only cuz they had a friend from another school who finished the same exams half an hour earlier who gave them the questions!
Yeah, i'm calling bull **** on that...

Nope that should be fine.

for the ques with graph of ln|x|, would you reflect it in the y-axis and plots the -ve values as well (as stated in the unofficial mark scheme)??
a couple of my mates said it won't be reflected and just stay the same (ln x graph) 'cos ln x doesn't work with -ve x values??..

who's right??

LOL same here, i reckon i've lost min 9-12 (mostly for that bloody x=tany and not geting cot2x=0) I was planning yeah i'll get 100% in c3 so i can relax for c4 and get 80%, why do my plans never work!
12. (Original post by MIKE ESSIEN IS QUITE SICK)
lol...hello...how you find the test?
it was ok, mike! i'm hoping for 90+ UMS! what about you?
13. On question 4)i) Did the solution have to be simplified, because i lieterally put everything into the quotient rule, then just left it. Will i be docked marks for this?

found it quite hard, if i get an A, i will be gobsmacked
15. does any one know how the graph of ln|x| looks like?
it was in the paper and i didnt know how to do it. otherwise.. i found the rest of the paper very easy .....
i checked my paper 3 time after doing each question and still had 15 min to spare :P

That was my plan too!
I wish I was born year earlier...None of this A* business.
I should really be revising chemistry right now but instead i'm moping
19. Did anyone solve the Cosec^2 - Cot=1 by
1/sin^2 - CosSin/Sin^2 =1
cosSin/Sin^2 = 1
Cos/Sin=1
cot=1

This working is completely wrong because i negated the 1 (i only just realised now ) but i still got 2 solutions, do you think i will still get the method marks?
20. for question one i didnt take out the 3 from the brrackets. how many marks will i lose?
and also for question 8, i got up to cot2x= 0 but got 0, 180
how many marks will i get?
Thanks
