    Hi all

what is the maximum maintenance loan for a student who is income assed and parents earn under 25k?

what do you do if you feel you should have been income assed and only got 75% or whatever of the loan when you should have got the extra 25%?

Maximum maintenance loan is £4,950, more if you study in London.

I don't really see what you can do if you don't qualify for all of it. Tough luck, I guess.

Why should you get more? Have they actually made a mistake when you should qualify for 100%, or do you just think the loan isn't enough?

Unless he has a pension or something else that takes his income over 25k, then yes, you should get the maximum as I understand it.

if the income is less then 25k and you go income assessed. you probs will get a maintenance grant aswell.
    the maximum then is
the mainenance loan gets reduced to about £3100
and the maintenance grant gets to £2900
    so in total £6000:yep:

According to the student finance calculator, I'm getting what I should be!

The max of £4950 must be for people who get less grant then?

if you get a grant you get less loan. £4950 is probs for those who get no grant.

The max loan is for people who don't get a grant I think.
