I've never particularly liked Chemistry, but recently the teacher has been picking on students (including me) and now I really want to drop it, and do a different AS level next year alongside the other three subjects i'm doing now. Problem is, i've already done exams for Chemistry and i'm not sure what would happen on my final results and things, and what the workload would be like next year. Any thoughts? Thanks

    Heya,
I am in A2 now, and know loads of people that after doing one exam dropped the subject. if you drop it now, nothing will happen, the exam that you just took will be irrelevant and you wont have an AS in chemistry. If you carry on and take the next exam and then drop you will at least get an AS in it.
I dropped french and the beginning of this year because the work load for AS was just tooooo much but i do have friends that are still doing 4 so its not impossible.
Good luck, my best advice is talk to your tutor and your parents, but do remember that ultimately its your decision!

i've dropped physics for 2 reasons : i don't need it for any of my offers
it was causing me too much worry & stress & i was scared it was going to ruin & corrupt my maths grades(what i need the most & my main priorities) & also i felt like i was betraying my devotion to maths (i know it's stupid but that is how i felt like)
