I have recently applied to the Fashion Media and Promotion course at Huddersfield University.
however I have changed my mind about the course and would prefer to change to the Interdisciplinary Art and Design (BA Hons) course, as I feel this course would benefit me more for the near future. However I have only just received an email saying that my application to the Fashion Media and Promotion course was unsuccessful. Would I still be able to change my course now I have received a reply?
Is it possible to change my course from Fashion Media and Promotion to Art and Design, even though I have sent my UCAS application off?

Once the uni has replied from that course, you definitely can't substitute it on track. If it has been less than 14 days after your UCAS was sent off completely, then you can substitute one of your choices. If you haven't used up all your choices on UCAS, then you can add an extra one on track. However if it has been past 14 days since your application was processed, and you've used all your choices, the only thing you could do is try to apply with UCAS Extra, where you get an extra choice, but then there's no guarantee you'll get a place there. I'm not sure if you can ring up the uni to say you're interested in another course as you've already been rejected, so you'll have to see. Good luck.
Edit: Oh and with UCAS Extra you have to reject all your other choices in order to do it, so make sure it's the right thing to do.Last edited by BuryMeInBlack; 20-01-2010 at 20:04.
