i currently am taking 4 AS subjects but i want to drop one before the end of the AS and just carry on with the other 3 into A2 as well. Will this be a big disadvantage getting into university as i hope i am capable of getting AAA and i do lots of extra curricular things as well like world challenge and gold d of e! I want to do sport science maybe at Exeter, Bath or Loughborough? Please let me know your opinions or experiences!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks

I doubt it - quite few courses require an AS in addition to 3 A levels.

Most of the good ones, yes.

Sport Science? Better go to McD 4 years earlier and save the hassle of repaying debt.

No, of course you don't. It might be an advantage, but it's certainly not a requirement.

Tbh pal it'll make no difference, I dropped Physics because it bored me to tears before the end of the academic year. Applying for Uni this year in Computer Sci, I've been offered three out of five with no rejections. Don't sweat it, we all make mistakes choosing the right courses.

Some unis (such as UCL) specifically state it as a requirement and most unis prefer it. If you're looking at that calibre of uni I'd advise keeping up - not least because you've only got another couple of months left of the course, so it would be silly to give it up now anyway.

Some unis especially top ones require 3 A-Level grades PLUS an additional AS
So best is you keep the 4AS

For the love of God, don't do sport science if you're capable of AAA
And also keep the fourth subject. You'll regret it if you drop it.

nope, my friend's just got into liverpool with 3 A2s and only 3 ASs. You CAN get into Russel group universities without 4 however the disadvange of droppign one means that you need to keep all three when proceeding to U6th
