Hi all. Just got an offer from Reading for Zoology, which they saw the required grades are BBB or 300 points, but my offer is 320. Does it include AS grades? If not, then it's really irritating of them to do that!

This offer is subject to you obtaining a minimum of 320 UCAS Tariff points
from at least 2 GCE A levels or AVCEs
    including

    B in Biology

    Thanks!

If you do a subject only to AS level and stop there then yes, points will count.
If you do a subject at AS and then at A-level as well, the points don't count twice.

The "standard offer" in the handbook is liable to change, and obviously has in your case. This often hinges on factors such as how strong your application was relative to the field, and how many applicants the course received relative to number of places on the course.

Ok, so you have to get:

    a B in biology
a grade in another full a-level or an AVCE
a total of 320 points made up of the above + any other qualifications including AS.

This is exactly right, and very concisely put.

The wording of that offer isn't really that clear... if I were you I'd ring up and check, but I expect it does include AS Levels.
