I recently returned a couple of library books a week ago. I was renewing another lot from another library which were overdue when I realised that I'd returned a book from one library to another. Here's the much needed proof that shows that 9A*'s is clearly not a true indicator of intelligence.

Is there hope for this fool?:eek3:

I think it's just as much an indication that GCSEs are irrelevant.

Me = D in Maths = Can do the 8x table with little thought.

Person with A* in Maths = Takes 30 seconds to do 260 divided by 2.

Yeah, tell me about it. I got 20A*s at GCSE (all 100%), 10A's at A Level (again, all 100%), currently reading Engineering, Natural Sciences, Maths and Computer Science at both Oxford and Cambridge. Of course, I got no less than an unconditional offer without interview.

And here I was taking out a book entitled "How to not make stupid posts on an online forum" when I should have been moving in a vector plane perpendicular to the cartesian axis towards section 3.1415926535 to find a set of particles with zero planar space momentum with which I could nourish the inter-particular giga-herz processor known as my brain. Pah, silly me
