    Hi,

So im planing to apply for the MSC finance in various schools. Of course I would prefer LSE or HEC, but when I see the intake of 2.56 percent at LSE I understand that the chances are slim.. So what other schools should I apply to?

Probably is my main obstacle the Gmat :woo: , and I was hoping for some tips on how realistic it is to score in the top ~5 percentile for a non native english speaker.

If there is any who have applied to these schools/is thinking of the same stuff or generally have some good advise about this it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

I would say that all schools care a lot about GPA and you definitely should improve it if you aim to the top schools. If it is possible, try achieving 4.8 or something like that. Actully, which country are you from?
As for gmat, I am non native and achieved top 8% which was enough for LSE because I actually got offer. And I can't say I spend months preparing, it was rather short.
So do take gmat before september, better before exams in may (to have a chance to re-take it just in case) and do focus on your GPA - it means a lot

i applied to LSE for the MSc Finance program.......and got rejected
I can tell you first hand that the GMAT score apparently doesn't carry much weight in the LSE application.....my 740 wasn't enough to compensate for a relatively low undergrad g.p.a...i had a 3.64/4.0. I believe a 3.7/4.0 is considered the UK equivalent of a First....barely missed it and couldn't get in. I also had internship experience in asset management. I would seriously focus on getting a high gpa.....hope you have better luck than I did

the more the better, no one knows for sure, make it 1st class and then the higher the better, it's competition after all
