    The whole point of this is to find words that sound the same despite being spelled differently

    'Ding' doesn't sound like 'dong'

    'Fence' is spelt the same as 'fence'

    And finally, 'nife' isn't even a word!

    NiFe is a word! Its a shorthand expression for Nickel (Ni) and Iron (Fe).

    On another note, queue is the longest word in the English dictionary which can have all but it's first letter removed and still be pronounced the same! :yep:

    I'm sure shorthand can count at a push :rolleyes:

    Oh and when you say the aim is to find words that sound the same and spelled differently, the OP lists words that are spelt the same but have different meaning so fence/fence would count.

    So 2/3 of what I said was right, which classifies as the majority being correct, if the majority is correct I don't think itcan be classed as a fail/phail.
