My A level exam is on Wednesday and I'm still losing marks for rounding to the wrong number of significant figures in practice papers. Which is really annoying.

Will someone please tell me how you decide how many significant figures you're supposed to round to?

to the same as is given in the question or to the number of sf you used in calculation + they can only take 1 mark per paper for sf mistakes
