Used to be. Now he's a commercialised pop artist, and a waste man for becoming one.

Almost died when i first heard 'rock and rolla'

Nah Kano still comes hard its just that he tried too much to bridge the gap between commercial success and underground/critical success. In the end it turned out that he wasnt poppy enough to be a mainstream success and he he alienated his original fans at the same time

But how can you hate a man who has produced a gem like this. Straight up classic

And this is a more recent track where Kano shows hes still got the talent to be one of the best. PS Ghetts goes NUTS on this track

Hes a wasteman for becoming one? Just cos he blew commercially and is making probably 10x the money he was in the underground scene. Dizzee and him have done more for then enough for the scene then anyone else, gave it more exposure, new fans, new listeners and more money for other artists. If I was in his situation I'd have done exactly the same!

I get your point about money, that's fair enough. But seriously it hasn't increased exposure for grime at all, it just kills grime off. I hate mainstream poppy music, and if you like it, you can't be a real grime or hip-hop fan.

It has increased exposured to grime, do you not think all the plays on radio, music channels etc. might get some people interested, thinking thats a nice track I'm gonna download some of his earlier stuff etc. and then get into the grime scene from there?

You got a backpacker mentality man, just because its mainstream doesn't make it automatically crap. Yeah theres a lot of **** mainstream stuff but theres a hell of alot more **** underground stuff. I like mainstream stuff as well as underground so I guess I'm not a true hip-hop fan?? Pffft **** it I'll just listen to music I enjoy.

I like Ghetto, but when he constantly does his machine gun flow it does my head in. When he does his soft whisper bits in choruses is a bit annoying for me.

Yeah it's me. I get banned too easily... I was unbanned today and then banned within a few hours.

Heh. Sadly I'm basing my arguments on facts bro. Logan Sama's has the biggest radio grime show and it has now been cut down from its original 2 hour slot to a 1 hour slot. Why so ******* Kiss fm can play more commerical trash on the radio. I accept your reasoning to how it could promote grime, but when **** like this is happening to Logan Sama's show, it's obviously not doing enough.

The main reason for that is less people specifically tune into radio for certain shows, why do that when you can download all the music you want? Its a pretty weak arguement if your blaming this on "commercial" grime artists. ps KISS fm plays some tunes!
